The Feast of the Cross - March 19, 2012 & September 27 - 29, 2016

During this feast we commemorate the discovery of the Holy Cross by Queen Helen mother of Emperor Constantine. We celebrate with a procession similar to that of Palm Sunday, which uses the same tone in chanting (Hosanna). This announces the church's cause of joy with the Cross in receiving Christ Savior as the King who reigns within us.


The Feast of Theophany (also known as Epiphany) - January 19, 2015

The Church celebrates the Feast of Theophany, in which the Trinity was revealed.


The Feast of the Cross - March 19th , also September 27 - 29, 2016

In this feast we celebrate the dedication of the Church to the Holy Cross. The Holy Cross has a great meaning to us as Christians. By way of it we received our salvation, when Christ our Lord paid for all our sins by dying on the cross.


The Feast of the Assumption - August 22, 2014

The Assumption of Saint Mary is a belief held by Christians that the Virgin Mary at the end of her life, was physically taken up into heaven.


The Escape of the Holy family to Egypt - June 1, 2013

The Coptic Church is distinguished among all nations with this unique divine work, by the coming of our Lord to Egypt among the Gentile.


Martyrdom of Saint Mark - May 8, 2013

Saint Mark is the founder of our church and is the first pope of the church of Alexandria. He is one of the seventy apostles and, he also is the author of "The Gospel of Saint Mark".


Thomas' Sunday - April 19, 2015

Thomas the Apostle, also called Doubting Thomas. In the Coptic Church he is remembered each year on Saint Thomas Sunday which falls on the Sunday after Easter. He is best known for disbelieving Jesus's resurrection when first told of it.


The Annunciation Feast - April 7, 2013

This feast celebrates the revelation of archangel Gabriel to our holy mother the Virgin Mary that she will conceive a child to be born the Son of God.


Presentation of the Lord into the Temple - February 15, 2013

In the Gospel of Luke 2:22-35, Mary and Joseph took the infant Christ to the Temple in Jerusalem. He was received in the arms of the elder Simeon, who then prayed, "Now let Thy servant depart in peace... for I have seen Thy salvation."


Jonah's Feast - February 5, 2015

Now the word of the Lord came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying "Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me." Jonah 1:1-2


Jonah's Fast - February 2 - 4, 2015

This is a 3 days fast in which the church placed 2 weeks prior to the great lent. The church wants to prepare us for this fast. It also wants us to learn from the Ninevites to ask for God's forgiveness. During the Great and Holy fast we ask to be worthy of salvation, when Jesus died on the Cross to save us, and free us from the slavery of sin.


The Circumcision Feast - January 15, 2016

In this Feast we remember the word of God who gave us the Law. We also recognize that Christ was fully human and had to obey biblical law. Therefore, Christ gave us power to fulfill the law spiritually. "Thus we enjoy the circumcision of spirit and that of heart" (Col. 2:11).
