Thomas's Sunday - April 11, 2010
Thomas the Apostle, also called Doubting Thomas. In the Coptic Church he is remembered each year on Saint Thomas Sunday which falls on the Sunday after Easter. He is best known for disbelieving Jesus's resurrection when first told of it.

Presentation of the Lord into the Temple - February 15, 2010
In the Gospel of Luke 2:22-35, Mary and Joseph took the infant Christ to the Temple in Jerusalem. He was received in the arms of the elder Simeon, who then prayed, "Now let Thy servant depart in peace... for I have seen Thy salvation."
The Holy Great Fast - February 8 - March 26, 2010
The Holy Great Fast is considered a time of spiritual renewal. The 55 days of the Holy Great Fast are the most Holy days of fasting of the Coptic Church. Fifty-five days include the forty days, which were fasted by the Lord Himself, the Passion Week, and the first initial week to prepare us spiritually before this great season of renewal.

Jonah's Fast - January 25 - 27, 2010
This is a 3 days fast in which the church placed 2 weeks prior to the great lent. The church wants to prepare us for this fast. It also wants us to learn from the Ninevites to ask for God's forgiveness. During the Great and Holy fast we ask to be worthy of salvation, when Jesus died on the Cross to save us, and free us from the slavery of sin.
